I wafra, thats my real name an ordinary patriotic ,citizen of a nation where hearts bloom with colour of different regions, religions and there love and togetherness among each other. being away from my country since a girl of eleven in the past years i've missed my country so much , a country of INDIA is indeed India!
The land of dreams and romance, of fabulous wealth and fabulous poverty, of splendour and rags, of palaces and hovels, of famine and pestilence, of genii and giants and Aladdin lamps, of tigers and elephants, the cobra and the jungle, the country of hundred nations and a hundred tongues, of a thousand religions and two million gods, cradle of the human race, birthplace of human speech, mother of history, grandmother of legend, great-grandmother of traditions, whose yesterday's bear date with the modering antiquities for the rest of nations-the one sole country under the sun that is endowed with an imperishable interest for alien prince and alien peasant, for lettered and ignorant, wise and fool, rich and poor, bond and free, the one land that all men desire to see, and having seen once, by even a glimpse, would not give that glimpse for the shows of all the rest of the world combined
THE INDIAN way of life provides the vision of the natural, real way of life. We veil ourselves with unnatural masks. On the face of India are the tender expressions which carry the mark of the Creator's hand.
THE REASON WHY I LOVE MY COUNTRY WONT BE DIFFICULT TO FIND BECAUSE THE BLENDING COLOURS OF A RAINBOW THAT IS SEEN WITH A WARM WELCOME OF SUN AFTER A TENDER SHOWER OF RAIN IS MORE THAN ENOUGH IN A BRIGHTENED DAY AND A GENTLE BREEZE OF A COUNTRY U FEEL U BELONG:)

Why do I love Scotland? Well I was born there, why should I not love it?

I love it because it's where I have always lived I have grown up there. I am so proud to be Scottish. How can I explain to you my love for Scotland? I know how, I'll give you a list of all the things that make me love Scotland.

There are some amazing people (like me xD) in Scotland and most of us have a good spirit even when times are hard. This is a picture of Rab C. Nesbitt who is an alcoholic Glaswegian in a Scottish TV Show. He's just an example of an absolute bonkers but still amazing person xD

There are some beautiful sceneries and mountains in Scotland, you may recognise the second picture from Harry Potter. Loch Ness contains more water than all the lakes in England and Wales put together =]

We have our own national drink which I ADORE called Irn Bru. The drink is actually orange, nothing else tastes like it!. :) Unfortunately it's hard to find outside Scotland.

Scotland has invented many things that are used all around the world. Like TV, telephones, penicillin, Auld Lang Syne (a song sung at New Year's all around the world) etc. I'm going to focus on the man who created the television,  he was called John Logie Baird and he was a poor man. He had to borrow money from friends and use whatever scrap materials he could to invent the first TV. His TV was made with an old hatbox, a pair of scissors, some darning needles, a few bicycle light lenses, a used tea chest, sealing wax and glue. Amazing, eh?

So now I hope you understand the reason for why I love Scotland and why I am proud to be born there.

Ok, so why do I love GB?

It’s a good question, and has so many answers! I guess the picture above kind of sums it all up.
There are great views and sceneries, like the White Cliffs of Dover, and the Highlands. And then there are all the not so tourist-y places, like the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. They’re all great, and have you seen them anywhere else? I think the answer to that one is no!!!

And then there are great designer (just to bring some of my much loved fashion into the equation!). We’ll start with the late Alexander McQueen, who was ‘Genius of a Generation’ – The title of the amazing book about him. But there’s also Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano to name a few!

There are also many other British celebrities, who have so many great accomplishments! There are actors and actresses, like Keira Knightly and Helena Bonham Carter. There are novelists, like the AMAZING JK Rowling, who lives in the same city as I do, we’ve eaten in the same cafes, and I went to the school which the famous Hogwarts was inspired by. It makes me proud that I have a story like that, which kind of, in my own crazy way, links me to someone who has been great for Britain.
But then there’s the future, which we have the Olympics in, which is an amazing highlight of any British citizens life, to say that they live in an Olympic host country, and maybe get to see some amazing athletes, like Chris Hoy(who also came from the same city as I do) and Rebecca Adlington, who gave so much pride to Britain in Beijing, and helped achieve the unbelievable.

Finally, there’s all the little things in Britain, like a good education, and a great health service, which help make us a great country to live in. Education is a basis that all children should have the right to, and luckily, Britain provides that for our children, and it’s great. Then there’s also the NHS, which gives free health care, without it, the poorly would be left with unimaginable bills, which they may not be able to pay, this gives everyone the same benefits in life, and I love that I can feel safe like that in my own country.

Yeah, so basically that sums it all up, Why I Love GB!!!

Why do i love my country? Honestly,i don't know. Maybe because it's sunny. Maybe cause my favourite people in the whole white world are here.maybe. But my country is the place i was born,i grew up there, had loads and loads of fun.i'll try to keep this text short. My country is small, nobody can find it in a map. But i am not ashamed. Cause it's that one place i feel safe, where i can do whatever i want, the most beautiful place on the whole planet earth, the place my family and friends are and that's the place i'll never leave. My country croatia. Someday i'll leave it and go in a another country but it's always going to have a special place in my heart. When i used to live in the uk, other classmates poked me for being from croatia. My grandma said: „don't get it personal. They are just jelaous for not being croatian.“. She was right. You must visit it. You'l be instantly in love with it. It has so many old churches,1244 islands...my country is that one beutiful place i have a home on. I always wanted to become an attorney. If i can't become it in my country,i'll do it in another country. Your country is going to be that one place you come home on weekends. Your home.
A real home. Not some virtual suite. Home. Everyone sais that about their country. So do i. By reading this, you'll probably think this has no sense. When you think about it, it does.it talks about home in your country, that main thing in your life. The main thing in your life is not music. Don't say that, because you now it isn't that one thing you couldn't bare life without. It's your country. I couldn't do anything without my country. If i would move in a different country, i wouldn't have a home anymore. Nothing can replace it. Nothing. From so many wonders on this planet earth, nothing can replace my country. My home. My beautfiul country, full of fun and people. Yes, i couldn't imagine life without friends,family...but it's that place you grew up in,your home country, your birthplace.
So,why do i love my country? Not for the people that live in. But for the fact that it is so beautiful. It's my home.

You may ask me why a collage like that. It's quite pointless to put together faces of children - NO BUT IT'S NOT!
Remember the theme was "Why do you love your country?" You may still not understand but.....
As You can see there different emotions on the picture. They will infect you with their mood. When looking into someone's face you can read her/his feelings.
That's the point - I love people who show off their emotions not keep them inside until they can't anymore and may die while suffering. This attitude is specific to Mediterranean countries and many other including Spain.
People in Spain are gorgeous I just can't find enough adjectives to describe this.
They help you, they love you, they care about you.
I love people of Spain - They have character, attitude and real feelings. If you don't believe visit Spain!

Ireland

Hello, thank you so much for alowing me this chance to represent my country. I sincerely hope I do not let them down.  I thought of the idea to do my entry in poem form.  I was trying to just bring a short summery of Ireland, it's surroundings, the landscape, the people and culture, to the judges. I was trying to imitate Irish style poems, that can be quite long and do not always use proper language, but I hope to have brought some of my own feelings and writing style to it.

The poem was typed up on a word document, I just thought it would look more professional and would be easier to layout.

Thank you ever so much for your time.

Hey, here is my entry for task one...

Why do I love my country?

I have lived in many countries over the years and have grown to love all of them, though I will never be able to love any country as much as my homeland, Sweden.
I love everything about Sweden, and could write 10 pages, though to narrow it down, these are the things I love the most…
I love the fact that it goes so quickly from countryside to city. I live quite far out in the country side, some people even further though it still only takes not even thirty minutes to get into the depth of the city, with all the unusual hustle and bustle which you do not get to experience in the countryside. I also love the way there are so many long beautiful beaches. I am one of those fortunate few that get to experience the life of being able to cycle down or even walk down the street and walk straight onto the beach. I can't think of a better feeling, when in the summer you walk down the road, up onto the beach and charge straight into the cool water. The part of Sweden I live in is in the south, and the 'village' as most people call it where I live is small, and as of that, you get to know everyone. I love being able to walk around the supermarket and being able to stop and talk to so many people. Not to mention, everyone is so friendly. Another great thing I love about my country is the fact that it's big, but not too big. Also, every part of Sweden has a different culture. It's great being able to only have to drive for a few hours and get to a place where everything is so much different than your hometown.
As I said before, I could write pages about why I love my country, though those are some of the things that really stand out for me.

My username on stardoll is winniegirl123. Thank you for picking me. :)

The United States really is the one country in the world that focuses on making a really great place for all to live in. I am glad my family has chosen to stay in the glorious states, and not move to a place that is without the things we have that many others do not have like freedom, and the opportunity to do anything in your life that you feel worthy of doing. Without my country, I wouldn't have the chances that I have now, and wouldn't focus on making my dreams come true, but my life would have many that one may not like, in developing countries, they do not have many rights, and compared to the United States, we have rights of many kinds.
I love my country, it may be rich in money, but also rich in talent, and rich in kindness. All those true to the country you'll find very kind and friendly, it feels very safe and nice here, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
The United States, the one and only country of all one's dreams.

What are we famous for? What AREN'T WE FAMOUS FOR?

We'll start with 'Posh and Becks'. Victoria and David Beckham got together on the 4th July 1999. Victoria was a famous singer for the  Spice Girls ( a girl band with an attitude, they wore big, chunky shoes and sang about things that were obvious but maybe people needed reminding about. ). And of course, like many people know, David Beckham is a proffesional football player that is well known for playing well.

Fact File:
Name: DAVID BECKHAM
Age:  35
DOB: 2 May 1975
Ocupation: FOOTBALLER
Wife: VICTORIA ADAMS - NOW BECKHAM (POSH)

Name: VICTORIA ADAMS - BECKS
Age: 37
DOB: 17 April 1974
Occupation: SINGER/SONGWRITER
Husband: DAVID BECKHAM

You think they're a royal family? Wait until you see the actual royal family - and about them.

Very soon, Friday the 29th in fact, Kathryn Middleton and Prince William will be getting married. What was announced only a little while a go has now become big news and the paparazzi have been hard at work. But rather than sticking to what's coming very soon - let's take a look at the past royals. There was Diana. When she died everyone in the country (and even outside of it) suddenly and almost strangely went into mourning. Thousands of flowers and cards were left outside of Buckingham Palace for poor Princess Diana of Wales who died in a car crash. Diana was William's mother and Will was quite young when she died.

Now for a little snapshot:

But, I hear you say, I still haven't told you why I love this country, have I?

Well, in a way, I have. There are celebs. There is the Royal Family. There are many of the things listed at the top. And that's why I love this country. There is always something to talk about. Whether it's spread in the magazines or tragically reported in the news, we all stop - we all look and we all talk. Making new friends. Making life more interesting. Making this country more at one with each other.

There's more!

I also love the ratio of beauty to ugly is 50/50 but we don't care. Instead of just abandoning the ugly, we make it better. We are a country that never give up. We are a country that club together and get things done

Not done yet:

LONDON. Fashion? Tourism? Fun?
Yep. All these things are at the very edge or the very middle of London. There's glamour, there's grime. There's fun, there's fame. There's models, there's mums. London is for everyone. It's where people make their big bucks. But not only rich and famous people wanting more and hogging more of that. Oh no! For the 'normal' people wanting to provide for their family too!

I hope I've proved just how much I love England to you...

VampireLady33

There are 3 things my country is really famous. Science, sports, and landscape. I will show you how.

Sports: Novak Djokivic is the best player in history of Serbian tennis, he is 2nd on world top list, has won 2 grand slam tournaments, and many others. He can beat almost anyone, including 2 best players Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer. Our country is also well known by volleyball, basketball, etc.

Science: Nikola Tesla (Serbian: Никола Тесла; 10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943) was an inventor, mechanical engineer, and electrical engineer. He was an important contributor to the birth of commercial electricity, and is best known for his many revolutionary developments in the field of electromagnetism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tesla's patents and theoretical work formed the basis of modern alternating current (AC) electric power systems, including the polyphase system of electrical distribution and the AC motor. This work helped usher in the Second Industrial Revolution. (from Wikipedia)
Landscape: Đavolja Varoš (Serbian Cyrillic: Ђавоља варош, meaning "Devil's Town") is a peculiar rock formation, located in south Serbia on the Radan Mountain near Kuršumlija. It features 202 exotic formations described as earth pyramids or "towers", as the locals refer to them. They are 2-15 m tall and 4-6 m wide at the base. These formations were created by strong erosion of the soil that was scene of intense volcanic activity millions of years ago.  Most of the towers have "caps" or "heads" of andesite, which protect them from further erosion. Since 1959, Đavolja Varoš has been protected by the state and a 1995 decision of the Serbian Government declared it a major natural monument subject to category one protection.
A natural spring is located beneath the formations and has a high mineral concentration. There are two springs: Đavolja voda (Devil’s Water), with extremely acidic water (pH 1.5) and high mineral concentration (15 g/l of water), and Crveno vrelo (Red Well).
Đavolja Varoš was a nominee in the New Seven Wonders of Nature campaign. (from Wikipedia)

There are many other things our country is well known, but these 3 are the most important and significant.
